Welcome!

We are a group of women from all over the country who are here in Charleston, SC, both short and long term, who desire to grow in their walk with Jesus while supporting one another as medical or dental spouses. Being married to a physician or dentist brings with it a unique set of circumstances. We are here to pray for, love and encourage one another through whatever those circumstances might be, while spurring one another on in our personal relationships with Jesus Christ.

Women in medical and dental marriages can struggle with resentment, exhaustion, depression, loneliness, and isolation; often moving wherever their husband’s career takes them. There is a common bond between the wives of medical and dental spouses, and something special about the support that we can offer one another.

Together, we hope to grow in our walk with the Lord and apply the Bible to our lives, while cultivating and developing relationships with each other and supporting one another as we journey through life.

Many women who come to Side By Side have never attended a Bible study before, while others may have been in Bible studies all their lives. The great thing is that it just doesn’t matter! We have found a common bond in the fact that we are all in a medical or dental marriage and this journey is much more fun when you have friends to share it with.
